Found this picture of Eli and Bernard. It's another one from Young State Park. Believe it or not, Bernard is a little bigger now than when this picture was taken...

Noah's 4th Birthday

Well, this year Noah turned 4. We have a small celebration this year at home, which was nice for us. :)

Don't ask me where the love of dominos comes from.... it must be genetic. Just ask me about times spent playing dominos with the Festerlings...

If it has ANYTHING to do with a farm, Noah likes it.

Top O Michigan Marathon

Not too many people know it, but Nothern Michigan and the inland waterway play home to an annual boat race. This year, Chriss and the boys got to see it for the very first time.

Unless I am mistaken, these two are a couple of guys I grew up with.

The boys really enjoyed the race it was loud, and maybe a little long for them. But in the end they got a hot dog and some time on the water. :)

Summer Fishing

Noah and I fishing in the "fishing pond" at Young State Park, near Boyne City. The pond wasn't more than about 5 ft deep, but we did manage to catch a couple of fish. And drew a big crowd when we pulled in a 14 inch Bass... everyone else was catching very small bluegill :)

Dennis and Jim eating shrimp this summer in Alabama. We were invited by a friend to go to a spearfishing tournament. Let me tell you it takes more guts that I probably have to keep getting back in the water when it's murky, threat of sharks, and deep. Just ask me about diving on the deep sea oil rings... but it was cool :)

Bernard

Bernard came to live with us one March 31. He's a very good puppy... listens pretty well for 9 weeks old... and he will get much bigger.

Bernese Mountain Dog

Well, thought I would post a picture of two of the six possible puppies that will come to our home in Early April. The boys should love it.

BTR meets DSD

Jim and I (Bottom time radio) got a chance to meet the guys from DeepSea Detectives, Richie Kohler and John Chatterton. Richie has been a good friend of BTR, make a point to watch DSD on the History channel, it good stuff.

Noah and Chriss at the 2005 Allegan County Fair. We sent most of our time in the 4H barns. Noad can't seem to get enough of the animals. If he had his way, we'd live on a farm... probably in a barn.

Bottom Time Radio

Well, as most of you know I seem to take my hobbies to the extreme... and Scuba diving has been a pretty active one for me the last several years. If you don't know I've been certified since '89, but became an instructor about 4 years ago. Well now I've added something else, I've started doing an internet radio show with my dive buddy, Jim Broersma. It's a little bit kooky, but I thought those that check out this blog might find it funny to hear once in a while. Just in case, you miss the sweet sound of my voice... :)
